It helps you sculpt your body, activate the muscles, and, due to the short breaks, it also boosts the metabolism. During the highly intensive workout phase, your body requires more oxygen, and metabolic function increases greatly. More energy is needed to return the body to its normal state during the subsequent break. Try to take 8,500-10,000 steps per day. You can use a pedometer to keep track. Most of us only take 2,000-4,500 steps per day. Think of your goal. In addition to the workout, an active lifestyle is very important. You can achieve this high number of steps by:

– Not sitting or lying down while talking on the phone. Walk around your apartment or house. Go up and down steps. If you use a smartphone, walk around outside.

– Parking your car far away from the entrance to the grocery store and not right in front of the door.

– Using public transportation on your way to work. Get off one or two stops sooner and walk the rest of the way.

– Using the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator.

– By going to see your colleague next door rather than calling him when you have a question.

– By taking a quick walk during your lunch break.

 Use a timer to train effectively!

Performance level 1

Has never exercised, hasn’t exercised in a long time, or does less than 1 hour of exercise per week.

Recommended break length: 20 seconds

Performance level 2

Casual exerciser, 1-3 hours per week max.

Recommended break length: 20 seconds

Performance level 3

Exercises regularly, 3 hours or more per week.

Recommended break length: 15 seconds

You need to experience localized muscle exhaustion during your final set. That means you need to do each exercise until you are unable to do another repetition with the correct form. The muscles need to burn. That is the only way you will achieve the above-threshold stimulus that will take you one step closer to your dream figure. Every performance level has a certain time allowance for each exercise. I have determined these time allowances as guidelines based on my experience. Though they apply perfectly to the vast majority of exercisers, each person is unique. If you notice that the time allowance doesn’t meet your capacity, you can and should exceed it. Stay completely focused on your workout and don’t allow anything to distract you during that period of time. Also, actively tighten the muscles you are working to achieve the maximum effect!!
